Casa Tico de San Vito is located only a few minutes outside of San Vito. San Vito is a small, sleepy town in the mountains of Coto Brus. The small town was founded by Italians and characterized by coffee cultivation. You can reach the border of Panama within a 30-40 minutes, Ciudad Neily within 40 minutes, and San Isidro del General in 1.5-2 hours. The closest beaches are Playa Zancudo, Playa Pavones, Playa Ballenas or Golfito, which are all reachable within 2-2.5 hours. Affordable and duty-free merchandise can be purchased in Paso Canoas, right next to the border to Panama, or in Golfito. Paso Canoas and the future International Airport in Palmar Norte are one driving hour away. In San Vito you also find a private school where pupils speak English, Spanish, and Italian. The climate is very pleasant and quite similar to the climate in famous Atenas, with temperatures hovering around 26°C. San Vito can also be used as a good starting point for trips to the botanic garden Las Cruces, the National park La Amistad, the Volcano Baru on the other side of the border, to the hot springs of Agua Caliente, and to several of the popular cities of Panama. Because of the future International Airport of Palmar Norte and the expected boost in tourism in this area, Casa Tico de San Vito offers a great location with promising possibilities of increased value. |
