You can reach the border of Panama within a 30-40 minutes, Ciudad Neily within 40 minutes, and San Isidro del General in 1.5-2 hours. The closest beaches are Playa Zancudo, Playa Pavones, Playa Ballenas or Golfito, which are all reachable within 2-2.5 hours. Affordable and duty-free merchandise can be purchased in Paso Canoas, right next to the border to Panama, or in Golfito.
