There will be guard houses and two man-made lakes soon and there is already a property management company that takes care of the house, if the future owner will be absent for some months. This company could also take care of renting the house, if desired by new owners.
Service costs:
$125/month - includes a visit/walk through once per week, administration/arranging of other services, eg. pool, cleaning, repairs if required, etc., and arranging for payment of bills, eg. electricity.
$70/month for pool maintenance/cleaning - includes chemicals.
1 500 colones per hour for a cleaning lady - could be once per week, once per month or as desired.
2 000 colones per hour for gardener services - usually once a week or as desired.
Electricity is about $70/month without using air condition.
Taxes for our house are about 81,000 colones ($160) per year. If an insurance is needed costs about $800/year.
