Casas Econo de San Ramon is located just a few minutes outside of San Ramon (about 7 kilometers North West). The town is home to a branch of the University of Costa Rica, a hospital, numerous banks, hotels, restaurants, internet cafes, shopping mall with several stores, grocery stores, banks, drugstores, medical practices and a new 3-cinema movie theatre. It yet retains all the charm of traditional Costa Rica with a slow-paced family-centered way of life. The weekly farmers market features an abundance of locally grown fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The city lies at an elevation of 1,057 meters above sea level in the Cordillera de Tilarán. San Ramon is known as the city of presidents and poets and was home to many of the political and literary leaders of Costa Rica including four former presidents and architects of the modern Costa Rican state. |
