Just a short drive away is the famous Malpais area. Cabuya is an area with rapidly rising prices, making this a great deal. Casa Cabuya Azul offers an ideal location close to Malpais. For daily shopping, Cobano or Montezuma are only a short drive. Nearby Montezuma, Santa Teresa or Malpais are little secrets regarding original but developed parts of the Pacific side of Costa Rica. Many other places are either already taken over by construction projects or are almost undeveloped. You can get to the next school or kindergarden within a few minutes, and to Montezuma, the closest beach within 12-15 minutes. Cobano is reachable in 10 minutes, and the airfield of Tambor in 15-20 minutes. Montezuma is quite a popular tourist destination, with its beautiful beaches, great restaurants (Pizza, Pasta, international cuisine, health food) and several events (movies, artists, music, fire dance, etc.). Expats living there tend to be relatively young, internationally mixed, and very often green-minded. A lot of creative-types, therapists, and families with children have settled in this area.
