Location / Vicinity

Casa Vista Estrada is located 10 to 12 minutes away from Samara in a private and soon 24/7 gated exclusive community. The location offers unique and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding hills and valleys. Samara can be reached by car using the bridge crossing the gulf of Nicoya. You do not have to take the ferry coming from Puntarenas. So Samara can be reached from the San Jose airport in 4 hours by car. Samara town offers all the shops and infrastructure you need. High speed internet is currently installed. The town has a lot of restaurants, bars and some shops offering cloth or groceries. Several banks are located in town as well. The next hospital and recommendable school is located in Nicoya. Most people believe that Playa Samara is the most beautiful and secure white sandy beach in Costa Rica. A unique characteristic of Samara is the offshore reef which protects the swimmers and divers from dangerous currents. So it is safe to explore the wonderful underwater world, doing water sports or having a trip with the whole family. Within the private community there is also a waterfall, a creek and hiking/walking areas.

Condition

The internal roads of the project are in process of being paved.

Miscellaneous

There will be guard houses and two man-made lakes soon and there is already a property management company that takes care of the house, if the future owner will be absent for some months. This company could also take care of renting the house, if desired by new owners.

Service costs:

$125/month - includes a visit/walk through once per week, administration/arranging of other services, eg. pool, cleaning, repairs if required, etc., and arranging for payment of bills, eg. electricity.
 

$70/month for pool maintenance/cleaning - includes chemicals.

1 500 colones per hour for a cleaning lady - could be once per week, once per month or as desired.

2 000 colones per hour for gardener services - usually once a week or as desired.

Electricity is about $70/month without using air condition.

Taxes for our house are about 81,000 colones ($160) per year.  If an insurance is needed costs about $800/year.
